Yikes! Did you have to go to the Hospital safetyfirst? Glad you survived though! That was a painful lesson to learn I'm sure. I have a story to share here. When we were kids(back in the late 60s-early 70s) we did not use seat belts either as there was no law mandating their use & we were not taught to use them as my father was afraid to use them in case they got stuck as he was in an accident a long time ago where he was driving a Semi-Truck & another Semi collided at an intersection with my fathers truck & hit the gas tank. Both Trucks caught fire & burned deep potholes on the road surface they were on. My father said that he jumped out of his truck & ran as fast as could away from it. As a result, he always wanted to be able to get out of a vehicle fast in case it was on fire & this is why we never used seat belts as kids. I started to use them after I got my first car as a teenager in 1983 & have used them ever since. I figured since I was buying my own car & paying for my own insurance anyway I might as well use them just in case of an accident. So far,so good. Take Care all.
