Hello All! Here are some common sense rules for safer driving!
1. Always use your Turn Signals when making turns or lane changes in order for other folks to know what you are planning to do & they do not have to second guess you at all.
2. If you have Babies or Children in your vehicle please make sure that they are in the proper Child Safety Seat or Seat Belt. I still see some folks that let their kids ride in their cars unrestrained & I often wonder if they really care or not about their kids at all? I would certainly hope so.Although I do wonder at times.
3. No Tailgating! I see this type of driving very often & is one of the most common types of traffic offenses around & also one of the leading causes of accidents. Please keep your distance at least one car length for every 10 Mph you drive on a road or highway & you will do your part to help reduce accidents & live longer for it.
4. No talking on Cell Phones while Driving! If you must talk on a Cell Phone please pull over or go to a parking lot to do so & you will reduce your risk of having an accident & getting hurt or killed.
5. No Drunk Driving please! This sounds obvious.however, some folks just do not do not seem to care & get behind the wheel while drunk. This is wrong behavior & should not be tolerated at all. It only causes grief & should be avoided like the plaque.
6. No passing on a Shoulder while making a turn at an intersection. This is another cause of accidents & should not be attempted at all! The life you save may be your own.
7. Please pay attention to your Mirrors & you will know who or what is around you when you need to make a lane change. You'll be safer for it as well.
8. No Speeding or Reckless Driving! You may save a life as well as grief & you will help your pocketbook as well from higher insurance costs. If you must speed. Most Racetracks have programs for folks who like racing & this is safer than doing it on the major roads & highways as it is a controlled environment & some of the best drivers around are race car drivers as they learn how to better control their cars. If you are a Teen, get permission from your Parents or Guardian first.
9. No Weaving in & out of Traffic. This is another cause of many accidents & should be avoided at all costs.
10. Keep your car in good working order with all of the Tires inflated & Oil, Transmission Fluid, Brake Fluid & Differential fluid changed or clean & you will reduce the chances of your car breaking down. Take Care all & hope the above helps you out.
